Inspired by all the incredible wild flowers I saw on a recent trip to Lake Tahoe, I knew I had to come home and paint one of my favorites, lupine. During an absolutely gorgeous hike around Alpine Meadows, on the PCT, we walked along hillsides totally covered in lupine blowing in the breeze like purply wheat fields. It was magical!
